Rather like when we keep repeating a word until it loses any meaning, in this work Sofia Dias & Vítor Roriz try to situate themselves in this moment of loss and attribution of meaning, of degeneration and transformation, seeking out the chaotic manner in which our mind perceives and associates events. Events thereby free themselves from semantic and syntactic determinisms, which conceal the apparent hierarchy between word, voice, movement and gesture, and aspire to new constellations of meaning that reflect the complexity of human experience, that so naively tries to contain itself within systems and models.
